Our Story
Built on Hard Ground. Built to Last.
Three generations of Coleman Concrete — family-owned and operated in upstate New York since 2005.
There's a certain kind of man who crosses an ocean with his wife and six children and a conviction that honest work is its own reward. Finbarr Coleman was that man. In the early 1980s, he packed up his family and left Cork, Ireland for upstate New York chasing something most people call the American Dream.
For Finbarr, the dream was simple: work hard, build something real, and leave more for your children than you were given. He spent years doing exactly that before founding Coleman Concrete in 2005. The company started the way most good things do — small and honest. Sidewalks. Patios. Work that taught you everything you need to know about concrete, and about people.
Those early jobs were won the old-fashioned way: by showing up, doing it right, and letting the work speak. Word spread. Neighbors called neighbors. A sidewalk became a driveway; a driveway became a foundation; a foundation became a reputation. What started as a humble operation grew, through human connection alone, into a full-scale foundation company — not through advertising, but through trust.
Finbarr has since retired — well-earned, though not without leaving something far more durable than concrete behind him. Today, Coleman Concrete is in the hands of his son Gearoid and his grandson Gavin — two more Colemans who know exactly what it means to put something in the ground that will outlast you.

How We Work
Coleman Concrete is a family operation — not a franchise, not a call center. When you reach out, you're talking to someone who will be on your job. We don't promise what we can't deliver, and we don't cut corners on what we can. If we take on your project, we're seeing it through.
